Fascism is hardly extreme right. True, European Fascism would more or less be leftist, even. The countries who were "Extreme" right or left were not made examples because of their ideologies, but their leader's stupidity.

Fascism is a right wing ideology. Any ideology that seeks to preserve the status quo is right wing in theory.

How is it not extreme right? One can argue Mussolini's "We must have a direct representation of all interests", but that doesn't change how it militarizes and radicalizes nationalism, makes morbid stoics out of the population and encourages breach of privacy.

Racial equality is achieved through education and understanding. I feel that has been the point that has been overlooked in combating racism.

It's what I keep telling myself too. Understanding is an integral part of anything that has to do with eradicating bad ideas. Without understanding, I doubt people can get rid of racism and other forms of -isms quickly.

To be fair, he wasn't without faults. As a human, I assure you he had plenty, but his good ideological legacy is what is important, and he was a great person when it came to that.
