So would I. I find humility tends to make life a lot easier. As an honest man though, I will admit to telling white lies on rare occasions. Sort of on the par with telling your teacher you did your homework but forgot to bring it in sort-of lies. But that's it. If I make a mistake I own up to it right away. It also ensures I don't make it again.

Then there's those lies to protect people's feelings..I wish I lived in an honest world, but I don't think it's that straight forward. What you see is what you get with me. Whether or not I finished some report on some day seems, on the whole, so little worth caring about that I'd barely even consider it a lie. A misrepresentation of specific space-time events. The work still gets done on time.

I just watched the last embers of enthusiasm die in a Nursing Student.

Oh?

I was in an exam room checking out a specific PC to see why it, and only it, was erroring on accessing my database.

When from out in the hall I heard a male Nursing Student being "spoken to" by a female doctor.

This "talking to" included the words, "Since you've clearly failed at your primary education, why did you feel it necessary to go into a career where you'll only ever be a second-rate care-giver? Is it because you wanted to 'show us how it's done'?"

This doctor couldn't be fired with a cannon. This nursing student could lose his slot by hiccuping in the wrong way.

I'm not sure he's going to live much longer.

So I spend 3 hours at work downloading this insanely slow file download of a massive database, take it home, and re-place the file so my client doesn't have to re-download it, and it turns out that I can't do that, and it causes a fatal error. Furthermore, I replaced the original file, so I can't even continue at 50% where I left off after about 2 hours last night. :palm:

My SSD will suffer an early and painful death.

Janelle Monae is the best female artist.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman
