But now you see my gripe at people when they say "Oh no! Genesis 1 is how the world came into being!" I'm like "no, dude, fuck off. Alright, that's how MAYBE things may have happened in an ordered universe, but still, no, bad idea, bad analogy, and no it didn't happen in 7 literal days".

And I am still trying to figure out myself which calendar type did they use to figure out for certain humans 900 fucking years

We totally agree the majority of the time, so I'm confused as to why we're always shouting at each other. :p

That happened to me in English class the other day.
Both sides of the debate thought we were arguing.
And then the teacher pointed out that we were arguing the same side.
It was confusing.

So basically a collaborative fanfiction.

Fanfiction would be different.

These were serious letters which had nothing to do at all with fanfiction. Of course, since they are in English, and we don't know the decoding of the letters, they are worthless to us. However, this is exactly what the Christians wanted to make believe the Romans, that they were just collaborative fanfiction and worthless.

It's like Newton's book "Principiae"; it laid out his laws of thermodynamics for the layman, but it laid out an entire philosophy that was only obvious for the people who were in his circle of readers and philosophers.

You brought out a very interesting point. We do agree a lot, but we always end up discussing HOW bad are things in degrees of bad, because we both agree on it. So basically, we just don't find anything to argue about but about how much things sucked.
