Look, it's not like Coffee Cakes is a creationist or something insane like that, so we've got a workable situation here. It's just that he likes to think that there was a thought behind the primordial soup. And hell, maybe there is or was a vast and ancient intergalactic civilization (or perhaps even multiversal, because why not?) that had nothing better to do than seed promising looking planets in order to see what would happen in a few hundred million years.

But maybe all that scifi I have been reading over the decades has corrupted my sense of realism.

If it was supposedly as clear cut, it should've been accepted widely by now.

Evolution is pretty clear cut as a Biological concept CC; problem is people try to debate the idea or discard it as "just a theory"

A theory, unlike a hypothesis, in the science community means "we are not sure this is what happens 100%, but our fuckton of data collected over the years tells us we are pretty fucking sure this is what happens until further notice"

Which is superior to "THIS IS BIBLE. BIBLE IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH. YOU NOT DISS BIBLE.", if you ask me. Same goes for any other holy book, of course. And let's not forget that it was not mythology that gave us the means to communicate with each other, but science. Advanced machine technology has changed our lives more than any religion, but large parts of humanity are still in denial. Violently in denial, even.

Now I cannot speak for others, but I would miss that delightful sarcasm and your presence in general. The nose-like appendages are still something that keeps me awake at nights, so I guess you could consider that another accomplished mission. Hell, you would actually be a reason for me to visit Sweden, because I would love to observe Thernsy in her natural habitat. You know, for science. Science makes everything better or at least more lethally efficient.
