Good thing I never did care about the topic.
Primarily, there's a good amount of evidence that can convince rational people that it is. (Proof is a semantically meaningless here)
Secondly, holy cop-out batman. "I believe in theistic evolution!" "But that's wrong." "I never cared!"

I don't promote either evolution or creation, really.
I'm an agnostic on that, leaning evolution, but I fail to see how it's a problem to think evolution happened with divine input. *shrugs*
It's always a problem to be delusional and wrong.

All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

You have to remember that, in a perfect universe, people would discard and delete. However that's not what happens.
People many times try to adapt ideas that contradict and accept them by integration to their own belief system, which is not necessarily bad, but it's a defense mechanism. I would say don't go so hard on him, but at the same time yea, his arguments are pretty weak :/

If it was supposedly as clear cut, it should've been accepted widely by now.

what about america, then? ireland? how close do they need to be with you before you go "yeah i'm in uguuu"?
i can't remember specific quotes but the policies themselves are mean spirited albeit admittedly coated in feelgood bullshit and you are just as bad in the arguments you put forth to defend said policies
fake edit: nevermind i just searched. "disabled people who are wrongly assessed by incompetent company and can't make it through months/years of appealing to get the benefits they need and die or are driven to suicide" became "commit suicide rather than look for work". that was a hoot. (literally just copying what i said and what you said here) i'm honestly not sure how much bullshit it will take for you to realize that not everyone gets the perfect jobcentre experience you got and that the tories actually don't have good intentions in their reforms which coincidentally always backfire.
I know you love out-of-context quotes but you really need to learn how to let things go, sugarcube.

Not a cop out. I don't generally care about it, but I lean towards theistic evolution.

I mean, I realize I'm probably coming off as a bitch right now - but in the end we're talking about a subject that people put their lives into researching.
Whatevs. Coffee Cakes apparently is completely unconcerned with what is factual and what isn't, and this difference of priorities will lead to nothing but frustration. Please dismiss. o/
