There had been some initiatives in the medical community to develop a cure for racism. Unfortunately I think some basic prejudice is human nature and race, due to easy recognition and universality has become the easiest channel to funnel prejudice and easiest way to attack others as it is an immutable part of them, unlike what clothes they wear and etc.

I'd like to point out that attempting to develop a cure for an objectionable way of thinking is probably the most authoritarian and oppressive thing one can do. Not everything is a medical condition, and it all just leads to greater diversity of ideas.
