They're very emphatic. It's a mixture of partially understood gibberish and wild hand gestures.

I've spoken to customers from Ireland and barely understood half of what they've said on the phone. I've spoken to non-native English speakers who make more sense. It also seems harder to understand people the further up north from me they are.

Moving to an English-speaking country would not create that problem. You'd compensate with your awesomeness, and then the accent will become good.

Agreed. Playing it is great, but I can't. I'm not good at it and no one gives me a chance.
When you know how to play and are good at it, I am almost sure you have a connection with watching a game somehow. You know what's going on, it's not just a bunch of people chasing each other.
I watch games in the World Cup/Euro Whatchamacallit when I have time, but I'm still the guy that does the statistics.
