We're not that self-absorbed. We're way more discreet and reserved. We're not as rigid or stiff as the Koreans either. We just like to be left alone to work. o/

Chinese (at least mainland Chinese) tend to be very... Rude, in my experience. They are very "superior" in thinking. Chinese from Taiwan seem to be a lot more happy and kind.
Many Japanese, in my experience, aren't quite like mainland Chinese, but aren't as warm as Taiwanese people. They're in between. Friendly, but still not as open.

Then you have us. Smiling in public is frowned upon. If you don't walk fast enough expect to be elbowed by 80 year old grandmas. If you don't understand Korean etiquette for chopsticks don't eat with chopsticks unless you want to have dirty looks. Etc.

Korean culture is very... rigid. Like you said, most Koreans are very friendly, but we show it in a different way that westerners I think. Our culture has rules for everything.
