I may have masochistic tendencies, however overshadowed by its sadistic counterweights.

I've always wondered about those actually. Do the waitresses just dress in maid outfit and then serve drinks or something?

It depends on the cafe. They have different things going on.

In mine, we sang songs with our clients and made them feel at home. I had to call them "master" or something similar, and we also had games.

I wanted to throw up at first, but once you settle into it it's not so bad.

They go flatline when you do it in a cute voice while acting timid, or like a cat.

You just aren't truly immersed in the fantastical world of "moe."
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman
