So at my university, the local Jehovah's Witnesses and other folks often have people standing there handing out literature (it's a public university, so they're entitled to be there just like you or I are).

I'm a Ph.D. student, which means of course that my work and research involves quite a bit of intellectual effort.

Unfortunately, most days I expend it all just trying to plan my route to wherever I'm going in such a way that allows me to avoid these fine gentlemen (they're always men) without making it obvious that I'm going out of my way to avoid them.

Couldn't you just take the short route while wearing a shirt with statements that viciously mock everything those religious nutjobs stand for? If freedom from religion cannot be obtained, make use of your inalienable right to blaspheme!
