We did a lesson on the Treaty of Versailles where the Bolshevik Revolution was mentioned, but besides that, it's been mostly Nazis and slavery.
I'm looking to become a sports journalist; a lot of the Russell Group unis want a French A Level to get onto an English degree, so it'll help, yeah.
Dunno why, but your school sounds really old fashioned to me...
Seems a bit weird to ask for French for an English degree, but I guess it makes sense - If you can learn one language, you can learn another or you can learn your own really well.

Guess that's the other option.
"Who gives a shit how important or interesting it is, let's do it!" or "WW2 is interesting and important, so we'll teach you about it until it's no longer interesting and what you're learning is no longer important."
Oh no, we've done about World War One as well. They just managed to link it to Hitler and how much of a bastard he was every two seconds.
On the bright side, I suppose Kam can't claim that the British system has indoctrinated me against Communism
. Education is the propaganda arm of whatever governmental organisation/private organisation wants you to believe, especially when it comes to history.

Except I can.. Education is the propaganda arm of whatever governmental organisation/private organisation wants you to believe, especially when it comes to history.

They've taught me about Communism for all of half an hour, and none of it was negative. I decided for myself what I thought of it.

I don't have a full transcript; I can't write notes fast enough to copy exactly what the teacher was saying. The textbook from my bag just talks about the Spartacists, their failed revolution against Friedrich Ebert's government, and that thousands of Spartacists in Germany were murdered by the Freikorps during failed uprisings, including Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht.

By entering into the organisation, we accepted the principles of monarchy. We might as well be called "Not Quite Her Majesty's Government"
