But that's completely illogical. No nation in the world has public voting for the presidency every two months.

Thought this was quite fun. Don't agree with the need for spelling reform, it's a stupid idea, but I had a go anyway:

Hè smìld understandingly - muich mòr thaen understandingly. It wos òn of thòs raer smìls with a cualiti of eternul reassurans in it, that ù may cum across fòr òr fìv tìms in lìf. It fàsd--òr sèmed tu fàs--th hòl eternul wuirld fòr an instunt, nd thaen consentràtd òn ù with an iresistable prejudis in ù fàvor. It understùd ù juist as far as ù wantd tu bè understùd, belèvd in ù as ù wùld lìk tu belèv in ùrslf, nd assuird ù that it had presìsly th impreshun of ù that, at ùr beist, ù hòpd tu cunvae.

Five accents in their, all graves, are easy to understand and from there it should be simple to read:
à - Similar to a capital A, or the A in "faced"
è - Again, like a capital E, or the E in "he"
ì - Same idea. A capital I or the I in "five"
ò - Like an "ouh" sound, or the OU in "four"
ù - An "ooh" sound, like the OU in "you"

Apart from that, it's the basic English alphabet. Looking up the posts, I agree homophones don't need different spellings. In my paragraph "then" and "then" are both spelled "thaen" - Though that may be specific to my accent more than phonetic common sense. However, the same could work with "there" and "their" both being spelled "thaer", with "they're" being thrown out as a shortening for "Thà ar".

Thoughts?
