Schedule II, Section 1 of the Presidential Election Procedures Act states "A presidential election shall take place no more than two (2) months after the previous election."

The last election began on September 15, but it ended 96 hours later... ergo 2 months after the last election is November 20.

Also, as Minister of the Interior, I've established an account of the Aurentine Electoral Commission and will be passing the details to the admins shortly.

"No more than". Does not mean it is has to be 2 months exactly and can't be shorter. It just means it can't be longer.

I suppose a better phrasing of my previous point was that the election can be the 20th or, in fact, yesterday. I think that we should take full advantage of the timing to allow for procedure to be carried out per PEPA (registration period, etc.).

The reason we planned for the 15th is because people were complaining after the last election that the President would therefore get more than two months in office if the elections started two months after the end of the previous one.

Constabularies of Aurentina wrote:Leishaagen Streets

Officer Hollande kicked the pavement in frustration, the middle aged police officer had been enjoying some well earned vacation time when he had been called up to help provide security for the remembrance service.

"I can't believe these bloody Stalinists have the nerve to attack this service, it should be a time to remember all those who have fallen in combat and politics should be left alone." Hollande said to his fellow Colleague.

"It looks like we're going to be needed to disperse them. I'm going to enjoy this" Officer Davidson replied quickly as he climbed into the armoured vehicle beside him, although he had not been told much by his Grandfather about his wartime experience it had shaped his life and today it motivated him to clear away these protesters.

Slowly the armoured vehicle began to lurch forward, the armoured beast quickly joined by another four vehicles, all wearing the familiar livery of the Aurentine Police. Chief Constable Taggart had formed the armoured vehicles of the Aurentine Police into Independent Divisions so that they could be rapidly deployed to quickly deal with any flashpoint.

Once the vehicles moved into position alongside the checkpoint they began to fire water canon into the crowd in order to disperse them, in the background several lines of riot police were now forming with tear canisters being fired into the mob to add to the effect of the vehicles. If the crowd did not disperse immediately then the riot police would be granted permission to aggressively clear the streets with batons, shields and if needed bean bag rounds.

But, Mr. President, the exact opposite is true.

If you have the election 2 months from the beginning of the previous election, then the President's term will have been 4 days shorter than two months.

No, because his term is still going throughout the election.

Indeed the term needs to start at the end of one election and end at the end of the next, to be exactly two months.

Short answer: I don't.

Long answer: The logo is the blue checkmark on a black and white box and the words "Electoral Commission, the other text was added so the flag wouldn't look so empty.

The size of the checkmark is exaggerated for aesthetic reasons, and this whole line of conversation is pointless since the logo is not a ballot.

Also, as we get closer to the beginning of the election I'd like to make an open statement... can people please not use screenshots of TGs as evidence for proxy voting? It slows everything down.

A linked post (even in your party thread) is better evidence than a TG screenshot and takes the same amount of time to set up.
