what can i tell you the guys i know who do it for a living prefer macs.

autodesk is a drating app.

AutoCaDD is more than just drafting, although note I didn't bring it up. I brought up 3Ds Max. 3ds Max is easily the premier pieces of software for special effects. In the original post I responded to you stated:
video editing and special effects takes lots of horsepower.

I laid out the fact that you don't need a mac for the major video editing programs and pointed out how one of the biggest special effects software package doesn't even support Mac OS. Personal Anecdote =/= the reality of the situation. I don't doubt you know people that prefer macs, however their faith in Macs as the best tool for the job is very much misplaced.
