Now's the time. A volunteer from each party to send them out to their fellow members.

I will step forward for mine to TG those who have not voted.

I've TGed Reform just now.

Alright we won.

It just shows how if we stop petty squabbles for five minutes and pull together we are unbeatable. In ten hours we swung the vote decisively. All it takes is a bit of team work. Now we can get on with running the nation.

So first we need a list here of the finalised cabinet and then OT can establish the government thread.

As a matter of fact, I was about to ask for the cabinet list.

I'd like to give a warm thanks to every senator who voted for me in the confirmation. Things looked bad for a while, but we have pulled through, and I hope we will now see the fruit of our labours.

Congratulations, to the Lord President.

Further, as the Chairman of the CMP, I have consulted with the party (though not all have reported back) to establish Honourable Members of the Classical Monarchist Party.

Honourable membership will be granted to former members of the CMP and any who wish to see the return of the Monarch to our Commonwealth. Though Honourable members are refrained from voting on party affairs, they have the right to discuss the establishment of the Monarchy in the Commonwealth.

What form of monarch you wish to see implemented in our Commonwealth has no concern for the moment, as long as you wish to see the revival of the Monarchy, that is what matters the most.

Honourable members of the CMP will from a Honourable Members Committee who will voice their views on who the Monarch should be, what form of Monarchy they should be, and how it will tie in to our political regime.

Anyone who wishes to become a member of the Honourable Members Committee shall be submitted to a vote in the party.

The only current Honourable Member is Senator Kouralia, if you wish to follow his lead, please post in the CMP HQ.

Urm small point. Organisations offer honorary membership to those they believe are worthy and the nominee then states if they will accept it. They don't ask people to apply for it.

I am just saying, it means more I believe to an award if it is offered rather than applied for. Plus I am of the opinion that I would personally never apply for any awards from any organisation but only consider offers made to me. Gathering gongs is not something that interests me only entirely volentary offers are something I would ever consider from anyone. In this case it's not what I think that count's but what your party feels that matters.

It isn't really an award, as such though.

Well, considering your a former member of the CMP, and an ally to our party, I would greatly offer you honorary membership of the CMP.

Perhaps we could combine the position of Deputy Prime Minister with another cabinet role?

Many countries have a Deputy Prime Minister who also hold another government role. For example, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is also the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment.

In Serbia the prime minister is the Minister of Interior affairs. The prime minister is not bound to only one position anywhere in the world. It is possible for him to hold another position as well.
So bel no it is not a precedent. It happens a lot for prime ministers and Deputies to hold another role.

So Angleter could also hold the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, which, in my opinion, would be a logical fit.

Urm, yes he is. In a parliamentary democracy the Prime Minister is only the Prime minister. In this system the deputy is not a official position and must be given another title to sit on the cabinet.

Now looking back, the position of Deputy Prime Minister is currently not an official post and has only existed law with the Second Amendment to the Republican Executive Act which of course is no longer in force. Thus stricktly speaking to be in cabinet meetings or DPM currently would need another post. But I am not sure it really matters and is probably best not to have such a person hold two jobs as the DPM has in other acts still got some duties even if the position is no longer formally established.

I would not do that as there are still plenty of reform senators without a post, I think it would be better to give it to one of them.
