"Putting names on school uniforms is a bit of an experiment.

Bullying is a multifactoral thing, sometimes a passive individual gives 'hints' to an 'abusive' type, who is abusive due to a long series of variables. Here is a form of 'individualization' based on an experiment which involved electroshock and people in KKK uniforms, people in nurse uniforms, and people in nurse uniforms with name tags.

We're betting that 'individualized' people in designated roles may feel more guilt than they previously were as a homogeneous mass. And a name is a clear sign of that. It's far more subtle than empty laws or proclamations."

"Ladies and gentlemen, all we can do now is wait and pray." -- Prime Minister Goldie Dennell, asking her staff to pray for a diplomatic solution to the escalating Schayne Plains Crisis to come through, 1949.

The diplomats failed, as the forces of the Birkanian Union began rolling westward into the Schayne Plains the next day.

"There is a difference between a cynical man and a pessimistic man. The pessimist believes the world is horrid and will continue to be horrid. Much like how the optimist believes that the world is decent and will continue to grow as such. The cynic believes the world is flawed, but that it can be changed. As such, there is no such thing as an optimist that seeks to change the world. Because optimists see no issue, only cynics see the problems that beleaguer the land around them and believe they have the power to fix them."

"I was a youth at the time, probably only eight or nine. Some of my family was taking me to see relatives in Fluvis Solis. We left At night, intending to sleep the seven hours journey away. I had never ridden the maglev for such a distance before; understandably I was having difficulties sleeping. The train led right through what used to be a vast an expansive plain, or at least that's what my history classes would tell me. Driving through those miles of farmland was surreal. The only fixed constant in it all was the sky; going by the land at five hundred eighty kilometers per hour makes it all a blur. Similar to my life, I suppose. The sky though, it moves much slower. The smog though, it started to vanish the further away from Mors. I didn't know the sky could do that beforehand. Then, dawn came. At first I thought the world must be ending. It was an explosion of fire growing in the distance, my little mind must have thought it similar to a nuclear explosion. The whole world seemed to be bathed in an ethereal glow; an all consuming disk of fire grew in the horizon. I was frozen with panic, I can still remember the cold chill that held my body paralyzed. Yet, the maglev kept moving towards it.

As it grew higher, I realized what it was. That pale disk I had faintly glimpsed so many times before was here, naked in all it's glory. The sun, as it was meant to be seen. I'll be entirely honest with you, that's all I remember from the trip. After that though, the world became a gloomy place. The city I called my home seemed dark and dank in comparison after that. I would spend hours staring out my window, waiting for the smog to part for even a single moment. My naivete made me hope that if I wished for it strong enough, it might happen. It never did though, some days the sun would shine slightly through it, but it was pale and lacked any of its former luster. I waited, but it never came.

"I adore the restrictions placed on businesses to prevent them from mistreating their employees. Why? Because competing against slave-owners is hard. I'm not about to force my employees to work ungodly hours for terrible pay with no rights and no health and safety provisions... But some of my competitors would, which would give them a massive advantage over me, their products would be cheaper and I would either follow suit or go out of business.
I'm not trying to pretend I'm some sort of saint amongst deamons, that's just capitalism for you, companies compete to release products at the lowest possible price, and the ones which ignore opportunities to make cost savings are never heard of again.
And in a libertarian hellhole in which the wages, hours and conditions of an employee are automatically the least ze is willing to accept when the alternative is starvation without a safety net, then the only freedom around is the freedom for the carp to eat the minnow.
When evil passes 'the profit test' it eventually becomes ubiquitous.

"One terrifying aspect about the Pantheon is how missionary work is done. They don't send priestesses or overseers to teach the Word in foreign lands. No, that's left to the Zealotry. Teaching is done by the local Centurion or Optio (the Decanus in the more remote areas), while they wear their armor, only taking off the helmet. Rifle is on their back, nano or plassword on their hip. This tactic is usually told to be due to a lack of personnel or resources, but their true goal is to scare the students. The night before, the same individual was killing the Christian pastor and burning his church, blood still visible on their hands."

"Do the anti-Fascists even know what we are? Half the time, they can't even spell the name of the ideology right, then they go on to call us Capitalist pigs- despite our very non, even anti-Capitalist views, you can't be Fascist and Capitalist at the same time, and if you think Nazis and Capitalists get along you're clueless- and that our ideology is 'outdated' when it, in fact, was founded by a Socialist, thereby making it the youngest of the three modern ideologies. It's no wonder why they always lose, how can they fight something they know nothing about? I, the Grand Commander, and the rest of the Orderian high command are all very well-versed in Capitalist, Communist, Anarchist- every -ist, almost- beliefs and writings. In fact, I'd say I know Marx a lot more than most Communist apologists today." -Chancellor Heinrich Slaag

"We're projected at 11 to 30 years from a technological singularity.

This sort of thing is actually extremely exciting. It's the kind of thing that makes me want to run out into the street, grab someone, and say 'Have you heard this!?' We're about to see an event, the creation of superintelligence, be it through machines or artificial improvements on our own neurological systems, where it's such an advancement that predictions of the sort of accomplishments mankind will perform afterwards are completely impossible, things that were formerly thought to be impossible will be simple tasks. It's like stepping out of the Stone Age into the Bronze Age.

It's called a technological singularity because, like a gravitational singularity, the event at the center of a black hole, it's impossible to make any sort of calculations or projections, because everything as we know them doesn't apply anymore. At a gravitational singularity, the laws of physics themselves break down.

It's amazing to think; I used to feel bad that I wasn't 'living in history,' and one of the reasons I've always been interested in studying it is because it's awe-inspiring to imagine what it must've been like for the people who were there, because- I actually think a lot of people forget this- it actually happened. Yet, as my life goes on I've come to realize I'm living in times just as historic as the last century. New nations, milestones of mankind, new technologies, new social movements, new sociological phenomena, new conflicts, new goals that we set for ourselves as we achieve the ones we set before.

It's easy to get caught up in the moment, to obsess on the things we deplore, but in reality these are momentous, pivotal times we're living in.
" -General Griffith Imperiosi (later known as Griffith the First, Founder of the Fascist Federation and first Grand Commander), Chairman of the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff

unbeknownst to him, the world would be essentially destroyed thus delaying it- and he would be the one to finally achieve it but he 'died' before he could apply it or show it in a way others would understand; it's left in his book series Prophecy but nobody can understand it
