I'm very much indifferent to popular culture. There's too much of it. I mean, how can anyone be expected to keep up with it?
They've been around for two decades, man. that's inexcusable. Off you go to listen to early pop punk, boy! I expect a full thirteen page written essay on my desk by the end of the week.

Wait...you are a redditist also?
*sneaky hides reddit*
Hmm, I see. The essay stands but you can add another 2 page essay on a genre of your choice.Fnordgasm 5 wrote:San Leggera wrote:They've been around for two decades, man. that's inexcusable. Do I have to? :( For the most part, pop-punk doesn't really do it for me. I mean, the only pop-punk album I can actually sit through is Propagandhi's How To Clean Everything and even then I'd prefer to listen to some of their heavier stuff.. It just doesn't do it for me, you know?

(and yes, some pop punk is a little underwhelming. the wonder years are a particularly good band in the scene, though; they draw from the punk side a lot more than the pop, so they might make for good listening)

I'm willing to give it a go if you're willing to listen to a band from a genre that doesn't particularly appeal aesthetically to your taste in music.. What would that be?
