There is a huge problem with one or several of the recent versions of Google Earth if you're using Windows XP, Vista, 7 or maybe 8. I noticed that I lost 70 GB for no reason, so I took a look with a file analyzer program and the culprit is a Google Earth cache file which keeps growing with .sst files until it potentially eats up your whole hard drive.

That is so ridiculous. Deleting such a huge file to get your space back can take all day.
