Ahem, anyway... I'd say it's possible. But I'm slightly confused then as she has told me she's not interested in a relationship right now.
I'm thinking of inviting her to Senior Dinner Dance/Senior Banquet..
Whoa wait.....Aren't you gay Moz? Or am I missing something?

How is it more likely that she only trusts you if she's asking you to ask her to prom? DAMNIT MAN, LOOK AT THE SIGNS.
She doesn't just want to go to prom with you, she wants to be your girlfriend. Jeebuz.

Listen, women say things to throw you off of what they're really trying to say. Inviting someone to prom is like the biggest date since ever.
And if she wants you to invite her, she's basically begging you to ask her out. SO DO IT.

Take advice from me(a girl)-
Just ask her out damn it. Don't contemplate on asking just ask her. If you really like her then do it.

You think I haz the balls/courage/insert whatever here to do that? Not yet.. I have to really work at it.
There have been a lot of interesting moments with me and her. Like one time about a month ago she drove me home and I went to go give her a goodbye kiss.. I didn't, but there was an awkward 10 seconds about and then she gave me a tight hug so *shrug*

Dude, you don't need to worry about courage or anything. All you need is to keep your calm cool.
Simply think over your introduction repeatedly, practice on the mirror, and then walk up to her, and say
"-Insert your introduction, here-, so, Katie, you wanna go out?", and then you're done and home free.
She says yes, you become happy camper and go out with her. She says no...then, well, just hope it doesn't happen.

Okay..
I just don't want my relationship to change with her, that's all.
