Metre Act

The Senate of the Aurentine Commonwealth,

Declaring:
"Metre" (m) is a unit of length to be as long as defined by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures, currently being the length of the path travelled by light in a vacuum during a time interval of 1/299,792,458 of a second.
"Kilogramme" (kg) is a unit of weight to be defined as the same as the weight as the International Prototype Kilogram, as determined by the International Bureau for Weights and Measures.
"Litre" (l) is a unit of volume to be defined as equal to 1/1000 cubic metre.

Ratifying the Metre Convention of 1875,

Hereby enacts the Metre Act.

Isn't this redundant? I thought we already ratified the International System of Units as the sole measuring system of Aurentina.

Yes, and it was written by Ainin. I suggest that you specify that "kilogram" and "kilogramme" are both acceptable. I'm concerned about the redundancy, but perhaps Ainin can justify this.

The Nihilistic view wrote:Man do you ever stop going on about how the government should pay for you to get stupidly fast broadband? Last time I checked one does not need 400 mb broadband to survive. I have 20 mb/s here at uni and everything loads virtually instantly, I would not pay for 400 mb/s if I was a billionaire. It's just ridiculously excessive.

It's not about me. Its that:
- FTTP will allow for cheaper broadband plans
- FTTP will future-proof our broadband system
- FTTP will make these speeds available to those who do need them such as internet businesses
- FTTP is ultimately cheaper when factoring in maintenance
- FTTP accounts for 10% of the world’s connections now anyway
- FTTP allows for detailed monitoring and response to problems
Why do we need that much speed? Nihil, chances are, where you are FTTP is an avaliable service. First, look at this article. Then look at my speeds (note: this is the fastest POSSIBLE where I am without spending thousands on copper cable upgrades) Image

So will I. Also, Nihil. 20 MB/s is bloody nothing. I have 60MB/s and I can NOT load everything instantly, so that's a lie from you.

It also depends on the quality of ones router and both hardware and software of one's PC. For example it took me a second to load the last page. IF it takes you longer than that I would ask for your money back because you are not getting what you are supposedly paying for.

Or of course it's a lie from you. See I can do it too, throw casual baseless accusations around. Though it's not very constructive is it?

Yes I obviously can't load a game from steam instantly but really whats ten mins to wait whilst it loads? But you can't load a game of any substance instantly on 60mb/s.

Quit your complaining, my provider is pretty crappy here in California but considering that my only other competitor is Time Warner Cable (bad experience with that company) here in San Diego, I really feel duped (I heard that Verizon Fios is really fast but I don't think San Diego is covered by Verizon Fios)

Suck it Verizon. A good wi-fi to make up for the fact that the hills behind me make it so that telephone signal is not a thing that happens.

Well San Diego is pretty close to Tijuana that could explain why my server suggest Tijuana and no, I'm not affiliated with any street gang
