Besides, this same situation occurred in other parts of the Coalition as well. Glasgia gave MSP's MoEnv seat to RG without contacting the current shadow minister, Pesda, who I believe was even active at the time.

Are you of the perception that the policy that cabinet ministers set is really of any inherent value? Either way you're getting experience and working in practically the same setting. What changes is your title and maybe the level of scrutiny you get from the opposition, that's it.

This discussion isn't going to get any more productive as it continues, so I'm asking if you'd be willing to end it, Nihil.

Actually TGing me would've worked, I always look at my TG's, I never left NS, I was simply involved in matters elsewhere on the forum.
My apologies then.

Pesda's a Red-Green, so that MoEnv thing doesn't really work the same. :P
It was assigned to MSP for this go around, though.

Not withstanding he is supposed to be a join leader of your party on the executive council.

How can this be a democratic executive council it claims to be when you don't give him a chance to reply or make an effort to get in touch with him. One of you leaders.

Yes, of course I know people then become shadows if their side looses but you treating them as the same thing they are not. the Minister can set policy the shadow can't you see? They are not the same and its wrong you treat them the same in this context.

As research Minister I have sole digression what gets researched. I would say that's quite a lot of scope for setting meaningful policy. The same with most ministries.

So you would not say that the ability to decide what get's researched has any inherent value? spending it on the military is the same as spending it on clean energy production as is the same as spending it on space. I don't think you understand the scope of what may be done as a minister, that must be why you feel being a shadow minister is the same as being a minister.

If "democratic" means voting on everything, then no, we're not democratic. The council does not vote on every issue that arises. That would be far too time consuming and ineffective for the added gains it would bring. And once again, he had a chance to reply. If he had voiced his opinion, we would have cancelled the trade. In terms of getting into touch with him, that's our fault, but it also isn't our presumption that people have a special tie to any particular ministry to the extent that they won't take another one. As I've said before, we switch every time.

Now, I've asked if we can end this conversation. As you are the one who initiated it, I'm waiting for you to take that step.

I believe what Sovcan means is that all 5 would need to be TG'd (well, 4 besides the sender).

I just feel it's very unjust and the party needs to seriously look at it's internal policy so thing's like this don't happen in the future.

I respect Neo and I think he would make an honourable minister of telecom, I am disappointed as a friend he has been treated like this. Hopeful some good may come out of this.

I jokingly founded a party that later merged with another party, which later did some twists and turns and somehow became this. I don't know how, I wasn't paying attention. I just occasionally get TGs.
