Try to get something good, though. A snickers etc. won't be doing you any favors.

There has to be a way to get you better food on a regular basis.

Which reminds me of my excellent dinner. Chicken and garlic rice with chimichurri, cucumbers and pita with hummus, and a slice of pizza, but that was just to try it out at a different dining hall than I normally go to. Delicious, and rather nutritious.
We had eggplant Parmesan with homemade bread and butter my sister-in-law churned. Gotta make breakfast in the morning. Blueberry pancakes with "blueberry" milk. It's not really blueberry flavored but a little food coloring will make a six year old think it is.

I don't know what breakfast is, assuming I wake up on time and not sleep through me three alarms and my 1130 class across campus (I always seem to wake up at 1120, not worth it unless I have a test), but it will involve coffee.

China is crazy; for breakfast there's about 10 different kinds of buns, soy milk (the thick, creamy, sweet kind, not that watery crap you buy at shops), random other stuff (sometimes fruits or juice or whatever) and then lunch and dinner are about 8 plates of different stuff, filled with stuff as different as pineapples to pork to salmon to corianders.
And then restaraunts.. holy shit.
Also, lots of soup.

My Saudi friend at late night dining (which is normal dinner time for me) always gets pizza, juice, and salad. I only tend to run into him at dining halls.Alleniana wrote:Talking about food, hmm?

Booking my flight to China now!

It's like the same with mozzarella. My family (extended dad's side) didn't like the taste of one pizza, but that was because it was actually made with fresh mozzarella, but was also a little undercooked. With an Italian cook as a mother and grandmother, I know the taste, and it's delicious.Alleniana wrote:Same. Eggplants doesn't taste nice.Auremena wrote:Eggplant, not really my liking.

Also, parmesan? Is it REAL parmesan?

See you there.
Though one thing; bloody hell, where is the fricking dairy?! In China, where everything is cheaper, butter is the same price as elsewhere, which is a lot, considering 10 packets of tissues might be 1 USD. Also, milk is crazily hard to find; I had to go to a supermarket that stocked frogs, rock-medicine thingies and wooden sticks used for taking shoes off to find even a measly carton of milk, and it was longlife.

Fresh food where my dad's parents live, unless it is fish or bison, is nonexistant.

I'm usually good waking up about 5.5 hours from now. I'm so glad that I don't have any more 6am mornings. I just wish I could reregulate my sleep schedule so that I am tired and hopefully sleeping at this hour so I can get up at normal time.Stagnating Nervous Systems wrote:Since I have to get up for breakfast in 3.5 hours, I'm going to need a serious dose of coffee as well...Auremena wrote:Eggplant, not really my liking.

Part of it tonight may be my shoulder, which started hurting for no apparent reason around 11 hours ago, and, well, the bag I put what little ice I had in leaked. Onto my roommate's couch.
