Oh, that's different. It's co-worker incompetency that annoys me. Not even that, it's that lazy mentality of not doing a job properly, and having to pick up the pieces. If I do something it could turn out better or worse, but if I just continue the way it is, it will sort itself out and I will be fine with the outcome.


Given 50/50 odds of making the situation better or worse, or the guaranteed odds that inaction will lead to a satisfactory outcome, I would go with the satisfactory outcome. You'd regret intervening more if the situation was made worse, than if you did not act, and the situation could have been improved.
