No, the National Coalition didn't win... It was left wing Senators that ensured it fell and we ensured it fell because of the issues it would cause with our already existing welfare system. I can assure you that most of the right wing Senators who voted against will have done so just because they dislike welfare.

Not really, if we didn't withdraw our votes you'd be saying very different things now... so this really isn't a 'victory for the right' merely the Senate being responsible for once. I didn't see any right wing senator expose the problems I did, didn't see a single one appeal in the lobby and appeal to the government to convince them to change their votes... So to claim the right is responsible is a lie frankly.

Exactly, however it took us to realise the clash with Universal Credit that would do the budget problems not the fact it was welfare like you suggested my friend.

I'm generally not fussed, but I wouldn't accept the right trying to claim this as a victory when in the end it wasn't them who managed to force the bill to fall.
