I know what you're saying. Amphetamines are well known to help some ADD sufferers. I think I've already been "self-medicating" myself with addictive behaviors, while not necessarily of the drug-kind, could probably be considered on that sort of level.

indeed, we have some family stories that are similar, just with coke not meth, the end result though was an early death.

I had a lot of behavioral problems as a child, but as an adult it's a different kettle of fish now. I did very poorly at school, despite being very bright. I'm a daydreamer, procrastinator, and bounce from one thing to the next so often that I don't know whether I'm coming or going. I just want to be able to pay attention long enough to get something done. That said, I do ok with structure and routine, however I've discovered that this is also something ADD sufferers can handle. I totally lack any kind of intrinsic motivation whatsoever. So I can pass courses (just), but I can't hold down a hobby. At all.

I think I've come to the conclusion that humanity is terribly broken, damaged, and hurt... and that the folks diagnosed with anything are the ones who were brave enough to get any help.

I know right, but when I went to the sales guy to tell him it was broken, he was all like, "What are you talking about it's functioning just like it was made to, and besides we don't offer refunds or substitutions."

I enjoy exercise. I just lack the motivation to do it. Unless it's weight lifting. That's because I can do it in short intense bursts, whereas I just lose interest in cardio. I'll just speak to the doc and see what they suggest.

All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.
