I was curious about the origins of the title "Lord President" so I searched it on Google. Is this party merely a front for the Time Lords?

BREAKING NEWS:

King Dhimitri Pelle has just been crowned emperor. His full title know is "His Imperial Majest, Emperor Dhimitri Lazaros Pelle, Emperor of Aurentina, King of Albania, Grand Duke of Leishaahen and Korçë." He has therefore declared Aurentina to be an absolute monarchy and has renamed it the Albano-Aurentine Monarchy.

We will be having the first annual Classical Monarchist Party Christmas Awards Ceremony later tonight! Anyone who isn't there will be eaten by a wild jabberwocky. Also, congratulations to Senator Dhimitri Pelle on his engagement (let's not get uppity, eh?).

Allow me to offer the Schloss von Tyrannien as a venue for the engagement party and/or wedding reception.

Alright, ladies and gentlemen of the Classical Monarchist Party. As Lord President, Founder and former Chairman of the Party, it is my inestimable honour to open the First Annual ~~Hunger Games~~ Classical Monarchist Christmas Awards Ceremony. Please allow me to introduce our guests of honour tonight. Firstly, it is my great honour to welcome Her Majesty, Queen Rania of Jordan!

And for our second guest of honour, I ask the party's loyal membership to give a warm welcome to His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan!

Finally, I am honoured to introduce Their Royal Highnesses Prince and Princess Michael of Kent!

HRH Princess Michael: Charmed to meet you all, of course!
HRH Prince Michael: Darling, I thought you said we were going to a charity event?
HRH Princess Michael: We are, darling, we are. It's very charitable of us to show up to this quaint little party when the host is a mere count.

And now that our guests have been formally introduced, let us commence with the awards. To start with, the Lord President's Awards for services to the Classical Monarchist Party.

(Background Music)

The first Lord President's Award is awarded to Senator Reinhard Lohengramm von Irredento (Irredento), founding member and second Chairman of the Classical Monarchist Party, for his hard work and dedication in the early days of the Party, as the first ever elected leader of the party and as the progenitor of the party's first electoral coalition, the now defunct Stalhelm Alliance with the National-Imperialist Freedom Party. He also coined the word "Cavalier" as a term for Classical Monarchist Party members and chose the Party's anthem. Sir, it has been a pleasure working with you and your return to the Party recently was rightfully a cause for celebration.

The second Award goes to Senator Irving Diopolis (Diopolis), the Party's third Chairman and second elected Chairman, a man with strongly held and some would say extreme beliefs who nonetheless proved a compromising and dynamic leader in his long tenure. Diopolis was one of those magnificent leaders who is often forgotten by history, precisely because they run everything so smoothly and flawlessly, without any unnecessary drama or basking in their own glory, that nothing bad ever actually happens; no problems that need to be solved, so the leader is neither remembered as great nor terrible. Despite this the Party's first steps towards true political significance were taken during Diopolis' tenure. Thank Heavens for leaders like Diopolis, the true unsung heroes of history.

The third Lord President's Award is for Senator Father Jean Marie Pie d'Longueville (Grand Longueville), the Party's first chaplain and a passionate defender of monarchy and the Roman Catholic faith. Father d'Longueville's role is one I as Lord President value greatly, as our chaplain- an office created at the Father's own proposal- is a potent symbol of our strong religious convictions; similar positions exist in no other party within the Senate, another sign of our uniqueness as the true defenders of tradition and faith in Aurentina. Father, your faith continues to be an inspiration to all of us.

Fourthly, it is my pleasure to award the Lord President's Award to none other than the Prime Minister of Aurentina, the Right Honourable Titolli de Medici (Distruzio). As our fourth Chairman, and third elected leader, the Prime Minister has loyally served the Party, leading us to electoral victory and securing the third highest office in the land (the highest that we consider a legitimate office) for the Classical Monarchist Party and the Aurentine royalist movement, for the first time since the end of British rule. Under the current Chairman, we also joined the National Freedom Coalition in which we continue to play a vital role, and through it we have forwarded the cause of the Aurentine Right more than ever before. Three cheers for the Prime Minister!

One final Lord President's Award- this one for Senator Alexander S. Foley (Celritannia). By far the most liberal member of the Classical Monarchists, even more so than the bulk of the Libertarian Caucus, Senator Foley is also an atheist in a very pro-religion party. Considering this, his devotion to the ideal of legitimate constitutional monarchy and personal loyalty to the Party is both somewhat baffling and utterly inspiring. Gentlemen, I give you; the first five recipients of the Lord President's Award- Reinhard von Irredento, Irving Diopolis, Father Jean d'Longueville, Titolli de Medici and Alexander Foley!

*cue applause*

With the Lord President's Awards done with for tonight, it's my pleasure to move on to the awarding of the Aurentine Royalist Cross, an award granted for services rendered to the Commonwealth of Aurentina and her rightful monarchs.

(Background Music)

The first recipient of the Aurentine Royalist Cross is our current Chairman and Prime Minister, Titolli de Medici (Distruzio), the only person to receive both the Lord President's Award and the Aurentine Royalist Cross tonight. The Cross is awarded for his services to the nation and the Crown as Prime Minister, and his achievement of being the first royalist (read: loyalist) Prime Minister of Aurentina since the British rule of the Commonwealth ended. Congratulations to the Prime Minister! Hip hip- hooray! Hip hip- hooray! Hip hip- hooray!

The second recipient of the Aurentine Royalist Cross tonight is Senator Zac Marejaan (Maryginia- hope I've used the right character), for his services to the Commonwealth of Aurentina as Minister of Labour and, more importantly, for his role as Chairman and architect of the small but influential Libertarian Caucus of Classical Monarchist Party. In creating the caucus and thus drawing libertarian monarchists away from the various Right-Libertarian republican parties to the Classical Monarchist Party, Senator Marejaan has done the monarchist movement here in the Aurentine Commonwealth a great service. (At one point, I'm sure he was also Minister of Commerce, but it may have been in a shadow cabinet).

The third recipient tonight is Senator Alfred Wintle, the Marquess of Winchester (Kouralia), possibly the most high-profile monarchist outside of the Classical Monarchist Party and a recent presidential candidate who helped ensure victory for the Right by withdrawing from the race and endorsing the candidate of the National Freedom Coalition, before serving as Minister of the Interior in Chairman de Medici's cabinet. The Party thanks him for his services to the royalist cause here in Aurentina.

Finally, the fourth Aurentine Royalist Cross to be awarded tonight goes to the entire United Socialist Labour Party, for their services to the monarchist cause by making us look good and the Left look even worse than they would without the Stalinists. Comrades, we salute you; there is little doubt we would not be where we are today without your helpful assistance.

And with that, I conclude the First Annual Classical Monarchist Christmas Awards Ceremony. Ladies and gentlemen, a toast; to the year 2013, with all its highs and lows, to a bright future for the Aurentine Right and the Classical Monarchist Party, and above all, to the Queen Over The Water! Let none of us rest until all acknowledge the rightful Sovereign of Aurentina. But that may be a while away, so for tonight, at least- eat, drink and be merry- after all, it is Christmas!
