You know... I realize I'm a libertarian and, as a Christian, I'm supposed to be forgiving and all that jazz... I realize that, as a gentleman, I'm supposed to recognize and respect a womans equal value (and I do).... but for women abusers my mind goes to dark places immediately. I really really support the castration of such men.

That's disrespectful of the woman to a certain degree, I admit.

That's not very libertarian of me, I admit.

That's not very Christian of me, I admit.

But god damn I feel good wishing that on that kind of prick.

Firstly, you break into the palace with a bucket a paint and a blank canvas. You then pour the paint over the Queen and then smash her in the face with the canvas. Be careful to use the right side of it otherwise it'll be no good. Also, make sure you have a good frame. You don't want to be disrespectful of our Monarch by putting your portrait in a bad frame.

I can understand not wishing it upon anyone else. I wonder what it's like for the afflicted... are they aware of the disconnect?

I know I am when I feel a cloud of depression coming on. I'm Bipolar and... being aware of a disconnection from reality is... strange, to say the least. I don't feel crazy but what other word do I use to describe it? If awareness of Alzheimer's is like awareness of Bipolar 2 then it must be torture for the person. I would definitely not wish that on someone else. It's scary shit.

I feel very sorry for you and I wish you all the luck in dealing with your own problems.

Thanks. It's a new revelation... as in a couple of weeks... hence my inactivity on NSG of late.

But yes, my great-grandma seemed to have a very, very strange variety of Alzheimer's... she could always remember very, very distant facts or key, essential details. For example, she always recognized me when I came to visit her, but she could never remember if her husband was dead or not. He's been dead since 1991. However, she could perfectly, in vivid detail, tell stories of her youth and childhood.

That's very interesting. When my grandmother was in hospice after a stroke, she recognized no one until I stood over her. She didn't recognize me, but she did recognize my cross. She was VERY religious in her day.... she lashed out at the cross. Anger flashed across her eyes. Her mouth contorted into a wail of pain and anguish although no noise came out. She turned away from the cross but kept her eyes on it.

It was difficult to see. I wish I could understand her thought process at the time.

The relevance, of course, would be the recognition of certain things while others remain clouded and mysterious.

So I saw The Conjuring last night, I thought it was pretty good. It reminded me of those low budget 70s horror film, but it wasn't cheesy at all. Also, an interesting tibet about the movie, The real life Lorraine Warren makes a cameo in the movie *Spoiler*. If you like movies like The Amityville Horror and The Exorcist, then I think you'd enjoy The Conjuring. Another interesting tibet is that towards the end of the film, they actually make a reference to Amityville.

The real life events of The Perron's haunting that inspired The Conjuring

The real life Ed Warren couldn't be in the film, he died back in 2006 from a complication from a stroke.
