That requires an amendment to the SIMBEDS act.

I beg to differ. Foreign Affairs was never really a stated category in SIMBEDS.

Yes, but Safety and Order was, and therefore in order to change it you have to change the bill establishing SIMBEDS.

NPSEA: Aye. Simple, straightforward, gets the job done.
COPA: Aye
LTPA: Aye
APF: Aye

APA: Aye. Desparately needed. Currently there are no consequences for hitting, torturing or otherwise abusing an animal. APA fixes that. If you disagree with one or two of its small details, I would gently ask that you consider abstaining and suggesting amendments later if it passes.

NPWWA: Abstain. This is a very moderate parks bill that should be appealing to the right. If both NPSEA and NPWWA pass, we may want to write a synthesis amendment later, I dunno. Anyway, I appreciate what this bill is trying to do, and I won't get in the way if this is how Aurentina happens to do it.

LPA: Abstain, community service requirement should be much harsher. A week of street sweeping wouldn't be too much to ask, I think, and would help keep our population centres beautiful. Also, all fines should come with "and/or [meaningful] community service", since currently offenders who can't pay the fines simply have them waived with no other obligation imposed. So while I greatly appreciate what this bill is trying to do, I will want to amend it if it passes.

NFSA: Aye.

Hm, is there a mechanism for amending law from the floor other than getting sponsors elsewhere and submitting it as a bill?

There is no such mechanism, and I find it not appropriate to establish one at the moment.

Alright then, I digress.

I would like to un-motion my motion. :p However, I will try to get an amendment in as soon as possible.

A vote counter will be up shortly.

Sure, yeah, that would be less than straightforward. I just thought there was one already for some reason.

Was there already an amendment to SIMBEDS? For some weird reason, I feel like there was.

Someone drafted a bill that would have split Health from S&O. I don't know where it is.

It seems like it never really sparked, if you know what I mean. I'm currently writing a quick bill to just plainly replace Foreign Affairs with "Order" and have Safety & Order just be "Safety". Thanks!

No, rename it Health, because "Order" refers to no single ministry and can imply several.
