I would like to propose a party whip in favour of the First Amendment to the Internal Security Act, when it comes to a vote.

What if someone wants to sign away their rights to freedom of speech, religion, etc? The law cannot recognise contracts in which one party "willingly" gives away its rights, precisely because one would never do that by choice, and is always pressured by an inequality of power between the two parties, which from a very narrow perspective may be a convincing facsimile of a choice (i.e: capitalism). The inherent injustice of private property is after all the fundamental point of socialism.

You've a very good point there. I think we should by all means make private property undesirable by making other means of employment easier, but I still don't think it's neccesary to outlaw private property. Would that fit with Polvia's idea?

If the means of production are to be seen as a right for workers, private ownership of the means of production cannot legally exist since it would go against such a right. In my opinion, the classless society does not allow for the existence of private ownership of the means of production.

If you are concerned about a lack of choice, for workers who may not want to have to control every aspect of the operation of their workplaces, they can always elect managers to run the affairs of the workplace. :)

On another note, I have no issue with including the death penalty in the programme proposal, if party members do not have objections to it.

I actually include something in the preamble at being shocked at the use of the word "sensible" so euphemistically in FLaRRA's predecessor.

This is, however, a bill that I spent several days writing to pull out all the stops and seal the loopholes. I think it is also the longest bill (that will be) submitted to the Senate.

My main concern is the possibility of removing privately owned firms, who provide employment, without first building worker owned companies to take their place. Also, in my opinion, when there are enough strong worker owned companies, they should, in theory, be able to work more efficiently and better than privately owned companies, making it pointless to ban privately owned companies (cause in theory they wouldn't be able to get enough labour to exist). That's just my thoughts, anyway.

I would agree that we do not have the ability right now to completely eliminate private ownership, but the programme is more of a guide to party policy, and a representation of the collective beliefs of the party. Plus I don't think the right will allow for us to get rid of private property at the moment. ;)
