I'm getting real tired of this. So, two or so weeks earlier than expected:

The Commissioner of the Aurentine Police resigns.

I created this account for a bit of fun: every now and then I figured a Senator would do something silly like fire a gun in the air and they could be arrested and then fined or something, with nothing worse than some damage to their pride. Instead, at a call out to an affray resulted in an Officer being shot by the CMP - then the Mafia drove past and firebombed the place before kidnapping a Senator, shooting down an ATN helicopter with an RPG, and then retconning the whole thing.

Then we had everyone joining the Mafia, then people started to resign and get bumped off: Potenco, Byzantium, Uiiop, Senator Kourie's Driver, Gothmogs... etc. etc. etc. I'm then pressed to, both by the expected ICness and the OOC desire to not get beaten by someone, combat the Mafia. This is made bloody hard. As you may well know, they struck out of absolutely nowhere - in many cases managing to pinpoint the location of a Senator without even doing recce first to locate him (an admirable triumph over the problems that have plagued the Police - knowing where and what people are doing). When they struck out of nowhere they usually rolled up with fifty thousand plus pounds worth of military grade armoured cars and machine guns and anti-tank weapons and anti-materiel rifles and grenades and flamethrowers. These were carried by ex-SAS troopers, or highly trained escape drivers: the sorts of people you'd expect to see in a spy movie working for Sean Bean or someone.

Now, I naturally couldn't cope against this, and was delighted when the Gendarmerie account was given to me. After all, now I had people with battle rifles, body armour, armoured vehicles. In the event that I pinned a group of Mafia soldiers down in one place I could now escalate beyond their means to do so. However, that was not to be: despite the arrest of Senator Rothschild, Senator Orson managed to get himself run over at fifty miles an hour by two trucks in escaping from a speeding evac truck.

But, no. I am pleased at this point, am I not? After all, I have a mole in the Mafia who can give me access to the Mafia's forums. But, alas, as we've found out today, this is not to be. Hathradic States informs me that there is no Hathimir Arms Corporation while Prussia-Steinbach, having previously refused to say whether or not The Don would be present in the senate, has now told me that he is not. This first revelation leads me to understand something: the entirety of the Mafia's off-site forums are bullshit. If a medium-sized post describing the arms deal between 'Hathimir Arms Corporation' The Aurentine-British Mafia and the Ndrangheta is all made up. There are no hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of arms being taken from a factory to near Saint-Annabel, where they are abandoned and captured by the Mafia who sell them to the Ndrangheta for profit - half of which goes to Hath.

On top of this, Prussia informs me that 1) he's not enjoying it so is basically quitting as the Mafia, and 2) I have no grounds to arrest him. Basically, I'm annoyed, confused and made to feel like a fool. And it will not continue. I'm hereby relinquishing control of the Aurentine Constabularies to the admins, pending appointment of a new Commissioner.

I think the point was that the Hathimir Arms Company mentioned in the deal (and thus the basis for Hath's arrest), does not exist.

My understanding was that it was deleted for a combination of all sorts of stuff, but especially flaming/baiting. If I'm reading it correctly, your deletion was because of a particularly bad example of this plus an extensive history, both of which are legitimate criticisms. Upon seeing Trotskylvania's post, I was pretty sure a ban of some sort would follow. Then there's also all the other recent deletions, including Samuraikoku, Choronzon and Zweite Alaje. How do I know all this? Lurking of the first degree.
However, to be honest, the system does have some fault in selectively picking certain people (esp. those with extreme opinions) such as yourself, but with the new mods being promised, it should improve.
