In order to increase public confidence in the Law Enforcement of Aurentina, on 27/07/13 at 1300hrs Exercise Wide Awake will occur.

Ex Wide Awake simulates a serious crisis in the Government Sector of Leishaagen, such as that caused by a major terrorist, insurgent or criminal attack. This Exercise will involve thousands of Law Enforcement, Gendarmerie and Military Personnel and was planned shortly after the new Government came into power. At 1300hrs a simulated attack will occur on the Residences of the President and PM, and on the MoD, to the level described in the Gendarmerie threat descriptors as 'Threat Level Black'. The Gendarmerie, Police and Military will respond as if it were a serious breach of law and order caused by an armed insurgency. They have been instructed to remain courteous to the public and keep disruption to an absolute minimum wherever possible, however while this is a training exercise it should be treated as if it were the real thing. Those acting in contravention with Gendarmerie or Police Orders run the risk of temporary detainment for their safety, or if appropriate they may be charged with the relevant offence.

This exercise is to test the speed and reactions of Law Enforcement (BLUE) Forces. The Insurgent (RED) Forces are non-present, and combat is not anticipated. However, loaded weapons will be used and in the event of a non-simulated crisis or progression necessitating a combat situation then they will be moved to the state of Made Ready. The events of the Exercise will include blocking positions and non-active checkpoints at locations pre-determined. Convoys will travel through the city to locations, and guards will be increased at certain locations. All Senators will be accounted for as will all Government Ministers.

Presence of Senators is expected.

If you do not post in the threads tomorrow, it will be assumed your senator is just in the background, voting/debating in the Chamber.
