It goes on for 4 days (96 hours) in total, and that's just the first round.

Why was it so imperative that we got the cabinet sorted then?

We can reduce it if we have political agreement between all the major candidates though right? I mean if no one objects to it in court, its fine.

I did't know how long the elections were going to last until a but after the elections started. However, if we can sort things out earlier then it will be easier to solve any problems that come up.

Sure, but the loosing candidate(s) will never agree to that. But hopefully we can reach an agreement on the second round lasting only 48-72 hours.

Give them a Junior Minister position, we don't need anymore ministry's.

We are now getting to the limit where I say we have enough, he can have Junior Education ON the condition that his party agrees to the reforms I plan to bring in and the whole government agenda.

I agree, we have 25 ministers and junior ministers already.

If GG doesn't agree to all government policies it is nonsensical to give them cabinet seats.

Definetley, no more cabinet positions.

He can have Junior in Education, but I want strict iron guarantees he will back the whole government agenda if not then I'm not too happy with them joining.

At some point I have a perhaps naïve dream that the Alliance can do a cabinet reshuffle which will weed out all the junior ministries and the minister without portfolio. Its probably very ambitious but once we have gotten our government on tracks I hope it can be done for somethings in our cabinet is less than ideal.

I don't believe it, the RGs are creating more taxes. I just saw a post where someone asked for help creating Carbon Tax, Estate (Inheritance) Tax and Luxury Goods Tax!

Have a Tax Tax, which states that 10% of all tax income is stored away, and then is spent on a massive spectacle each year. Like the huge Roman Games. :p

The taxes I said were only proposed about 17 minutes ago, they are never going to stop are they?

I have a suggestion for raising entertainment and help charity... lets have lottery where everyone (except RG) guesses five taxes RG will propose next. Each entry is £1 and who ever gets most matches will get £1000 per match.
Money raised goes to charity.

Nope, they were proposed days ago but we were all busy when I pointed them out :)

And nope, I think taxing breathing will be the next logical step for them.

Would it shock the members of this alliance that I (not, I stress NOT, the LFP) find the R-G tax proposals relatively sensible?

Yes, taxing people for being able to afford luxury goods with their own money? Bad Idea
Taxing people for Petrol which is also used in an airline flight I believe they stated earlier on
Taxing being able to use an airline, so basically a double whammy of tax there.

Among their other proposals, all it's going to do is drive people out of the country.

I think it's good for income equality, through sensible taxes.

Not what these have suggested

Exactly, their real policy is to overtax the country. The saddest thing of all is that their major reason is: "citizens pay less than 10% in taxes and our government is one of the smallest in the World". Funny thing is that with all those taxes (if they pass, which I hope not), the tax burden will increase dramatically.

I don't see why introducing taxes targeting the rich are bad. While I don't think it is fair to tax them excessively to place taxes on products they alone can afford is not unreasonable.

Petrol is damaging to the environment and should be used as little as possible, taxes accomplish that. Taxing airlines accomplish the same thing.

Overall I think that it would be much more sensible to introduce taxes like these and then lower the income tax rate instead.

Yes, but we're essentially making driving possible only for the well off with these taxes.

And what about family heirlooms, they could get taxed for those despite never intending to use them

To do that you would have to repeal previously passed legislation.
