I did that last year. Hadn't logged into my account for over 5 years. Played it solid for a few weeks, then got bored. I'll play again in another 5 years.

It's still clinging to an outdated java engine... the gameplay could be so much better if they made their own.

But that's besides the point. It was good a few years ago, but they haven't made any real progress since. They recently added a new combat system which is apparently terrible...

They've been trying to imitate WoW as far as I've heard.

And more stuff to please their sponsors, of course. Moar money for producers = better game, apparently.

I played for about a year and a half, if that? I remember getting to level 90-something in a couple of months, which was apparently quite an achievement.

Well, RuneScape has been a WoW-knockoff since the start. Just a well-made knockoff...

I started to give up the moment they began to go out of their way to make a profit. Solve issues by throwing new content at it.

Speaking of dungeon masters, there's only two contexts in which one can be in a basement calling somebody 'dungeon master' that make a lick of sense.

Pretty much, yeah.

It is a p2p too - i got a members account from the get go, which made it all a ton easier. It was good that they added a new quest every month or so, though, to keep it somewhat fresh.
