In Morrowind/Bloodmoon there were Draurg barrows literally filled with gold. I remeber finding one where the entire floor was filled with septim stacks for example. There was no floor visible.

I used to farm dark brotherhood in Morrowind. Each armorpiece is worth 10000+ and they respawn. I never ran out of money.
