He does. But he also appreciates his heritage. Isn't it possible to do both?

No he wants me to start singing British and Aurentine songs because apparently singing a Jewish one means I'm against Aurentina.

"I personally sent a letter to my friend, Kruger. I wasn't going to stand for the sudden, pointless trashing of hundreds of years of tradition. No sir. My family has been involved in this island's history, political and military, for almost as long as it's existed, and I'll be damned if I let it all go down the drain with one little ministerial decision."

Sipping at his glass of whisky, he waits for a reply from the man he definitely recognised and was probably a member of the government himself, though he couldn't recall exactly what position he held.

"Ver' good call there, sir! Ver' good!" Wintle said, standing up and going up to shake the man's hand. "It's good to see influence being used for the good of the nation, rather than for personal gain. I'm Wintle, Alfred Wintle, Minister of the Interior and Senator for Kapsteed. That bloke Kourie's old place."

Probably because he isn't even from Aurentina, is he? He doesn't deserve a place in this government or country. If he loves Israel and the Jews so much, make him move there.

1. Aurentina isn't a Fatherland. Britain is. Appreciate it.

2. Singing Jewish songs in opposition to Aurentine and British ones would imply that, yeah.

1. Your opinion. Not fact

2. The Israeli anthem doesn't even mention Aurentina.
Anyway we are cluttering the thread, let's get on with the IC.

Sebastian walked into the bar, looking morose as he ordered a pint and some fish and chips. He'd expected some work on the side this week, but nothing had come up. Not even a face-to-face with any of his co-workers. He sighed and took a seat by the bar, pulling out and checking his phone. Nothing.

It was depressing. He'd anticipated something exciting, at least.

Shaking Wintle's hand vigorously, he squeezed a bit harder and he started when he said "Kourie." Now he remembered. He remembered the day he had received the report Kourie was at the pub, alone. He remembered how he had practically yelled to his men: "Take him! Take him now!" And, come to think of it, it was only about ten feet away it had happened. The only significant enemy of the mob, the only worthy adversary Bridger had ever encountered. He had gotten very, very drunk that night.

"Ah yes, Minister Wintle. Congratulations on your appointment, and I'd like to express my belated condolences to you. Kourie and I had quite the... business, and political relationship.

"I am Joseph Wesley Bridger, of Sülënsplaar. Minister of Customs."

We've got quite the file on you down at the M.o.I.!" He laughed, "Arrested under suspicion of being in the Mafia and for complicity in tens of murders, including my predecessor. Oh, and for Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Battery for a bit of a fracas at the East India Club, wasn't it?"
