Eeyup. We (by which I mean the US) were very much on the wrong side of that war. Although one could make an excellent argument for any side being the wrong side for us, since there was really absolutely no reason whatsoever for us to get involved other than "ERMERGERD COMMUNERSERM!", which, of course, was our own damn fault because (Wilson?) was the one who slammed the door in his face and caused him to go to the USSR for help.

tl;dr: The US were the bad guys in Vietnam.

No mate this is not what we are saying. As you know during the renassiance anything that was connected to ancient Greece gave westerners a boner. So they borrowed a bunch of words from ancient greek texts. And yadi yadi yada, since Astrology was developed in Europe during that era, the Finns borrowed that one word. It has nothing to do with Renassiance or Medieval Greece
