water, shelter, food, in approximately that order. minimums for physical life.
to not be robbed of thinking my own thoughts i consider basic to mental health, along with access to some means of creative expression, being the only point of sapience.
interesting opportunities for unfettered exploring are of course also basic to the mental well being of even sentience, which intern includes within sapience.

i don't really feel as dependent on communication/companionship as most humans seem to. i remember doing so as an infant, but even at a relatively early age i began valuing the option of solitude more highly.
as an adolescent and young adult i did still feel a strong compulsion for affection, but that may have been motivate largely by the combination of libido and ego.
at any rate it pleases me to left even that mostly behind. though it saddens me when others are put off or saddened because of having done so. for them, but no longer for myself.

beyond necessities, i do very much enjoy things to make things with. and doing so. and the things i make as a result.
some of these are images i share on the web. to illustrate the kind of world i believe people would be happier living in and i know i would.
a very attainable kind of world, requiring only a few minor adjustments of self discipline and cultural perspective.
