Third Edition - Verskuch Tree
VOLUME ONE: ENGLISH-AURENTINE
J. Fulflood, N. Kaarenhaas, H. Johannson, L. Canton, J. Geil, M. Blumenthal, M. Kelly, R. von Glasgia & others
Your definitive guide to the language
The Aurentine Phrasebook is an ongoing attempt to classify and codify the developing vocabulary and grammar of Aurentine, in order to help facilitate easier use of the language. It is compiled by Senators James Fulflood (vocabulary) and Nikläs Kaarenhaas, aka Hippostania (grammar), with the aid of additional contributing authors, including large parts of the vocabulary transliterated by Hippostania.
This third edition is much revised following contributions from Hippostania and others. It is now split into three volumes, one for English-Aurentine, one for Aurentine-English and one for Grammar. Additional contributions from anyone are still useful, in order to aid our process to catalogue Aurentine.
Contributors: Nikläs Kaarenhaas, James Fulflood, Hans Johansson, Michael Blumenthal, Lucas Canton, John Geil, Robert von Glasgia, Michael Kelly, Joseph Kourie, Kamchastkia.
Further contributions (of vocabulary and grammar) from anyone are always welcome.Vocabulary: English-Aurentine

For the conjugations of senten, see the Grammar section in Volume Three of the Phrasebook)
usage note - ler is used between the two words in question. While in English, the phrase would be 'either the old house or the new house', in Aurentine, it would be 'de oud haas ler de nüvel haas'
For the conjugations of hööden, see the Grammar section in Volume Three of the Phrasebook)
etym. Schwa is derived from the sound made by a helicopter
etym. The informal Aurentine greeting "roi" means king in French and comes from the latin "royale". When German settlers first settled on the island, they were a minority under Latin-speaking rulers and began to call the Italian and Greek residents "roi" as an ironic greeting.
usage note - not is used before the word which it makes negative. While in English, the phrase would be 'I am not an old man', in Aurentine, it would be 'ik nëttä sent ün oud män'
