I do recall seeing the visiting AcSM once shout non-stop for thirty minutes in a competition to see who could out-beast visiting ACF Cadets. A CSM timed it, and it was a pleasant ending to the day's sport, even though I lost to him.

Are you worried that several large Multi-national corporations are looking into the hat trade?

I am not overly concerned about that. We have good business with the national and local governments, and the hats officials need for daily business are sort of uniquely identifiable as our products. We also have a good market to citizens of Altfoort.

I once had a new recruit in the company who panicked and discharged his weapon at the first turban he saw. I remember me and his sergeant took turns to yell at him for two hours in quarter hour shifts, before we sent him straight home. I admit it was slightly sadistic, but I hear the lad learnt his lesson and retrained as an ambassador rather than trying his hand in the officer corps.
