To be honest, way to many of the candidates are socialist for my liking as well.
Not sponsored by the coalition, and opposed by half the member parties.
Well, did you expect the socialist half of the coalition to not take any government positions?

It wasn't, but when %50 of them support it, I still don't like it.
No I didn't expect them not to, which is why I didn't even try to join before the ministries were announced.

So it's not that the Progress Coalition has taken a turn to socialism, since it's always contained socialist parties.

I'll take back what I said about the Progress Coalition, but I won't join one where the ratio of people inside are predominantly socialist or even half-way socialist.

No, I do respect some of its tenants, but I oppose socialism on the issue of workplace democracy by force.
An more importantly the socialists are pretty powerful as parties go, thus I must band with the others to prevent socialism from ebing established.

"Workplace democracy"? Eh, even I'm kind of shifty on allowing workers to kick the owners around. Yes, there should be fairness, but to the extent where a worker if they don't like the pay they knew they were getting, they can demand their boss be removed? That's a bit harsh.

That's the whole idea of socialism. If you don't support it, you aren't really socialist.

I'm more of a social capitalist. I believe in worker enfranchisement (aka unions) and stuff like that, but I don't like the idea of people being able to oust the owners of the business they're employed for.
