I vote for the executive option. The council would inevitably end up gridlocked and get very little done.

For the record, I'm going to miss having Wolfmanne as president.

Oh no, I totally agree with you. But a gridlocked executive would only exacerbate the problems that already exist under the current deadlocked Senate. It would be like having Karl Marx, Tony Blair, Barack Obama, Saddam Hussein, and Mitt Romney on the same executive and expecting them to diplomatically reach a solution. Minus Marx and Hussein being, well, dead, of course.

I rather doubt these would be the top five to win votes. I imagine two or three of them would be rather near the center, at least.

we can't do anything because we have gridlocked legislature, so your solution to this is to make gridlocked executive?

I, for one, agree with Great Nepal. (0_o)
I'd be fine if it was a collective head of state, but I think leadership needs to be clear in the government so I favour the Parliamentary system. The issue of a Head of Government and a Head of State in one department, even if it's a council, is also concerning to me.

Since this is three way vote, do bills require 51% to pass or just a plurality?

It's 50%+1. A vote for the council is a nay to the executive, for example, so those get added to the nays on both.

On that note, I'd like to change my vote from abstain to nay on both.
