We are not in the EU. Who said we were? I might have to set my friend Farage on them.

I believe last time it was discussed the Idea of joining was thankfully shot down for RP reasons as well as IC reasons.

On another note, senators do not be influence by senator Malgrave on the issues of the UK and its austerity measures. He does not it seems understand the process of transforming the economy that is going on.

Thank god we aren't in the EU. Saying that, if we were then I would get to play a part in the eurosceptic movement and would get to be like my favourite politician, Nigel Farage.

You fail to mention how the main aim right now is to re-balance the economy, something that is succeeding and not outright economic growth. Thus your argument is intellectually dishonest.

I could provide some links to websites of my own. There are plenty of other biased websites that side with my argument. I would use them but I am on a shitting old iPod that goes about as fast as a snail.

For the record, I oppose Aurentina joining the EU—there's no point swapping Westminster for Brussels.

I thought the Chancellor told us a few years ago that our annual GDP growth rate should be 6% at this point in his austerity plans. We'd be lucky to get 0.6% given the current climate. The cuts are in the wrong areas and aren't enough to anywhere near balance the budget, let alone reduce the deficit.

So the Chief Economist for the Financial Times, CNN, Bloomberg, the BBC (quoting the IMF) and a book researching the dangers of austerity are all bias sources?

6%, I don't know where you got that from. It was said to be about 2.4-.8% I believe but anybody who believed that was the main aim was gullible to say the least. I agree more needs to be cut and this ring fencing that is done purely to bribe the masses has to stop. On another note the private sector is growing at around 1% so the plan is slowly beginning to work. Obviously the cuts to public sector spending reduce the overall GDP figure (to 0.3% growth I believe) but we are on the right track in this respect.

Second Amendment to the Republican

Executive Act

Drafted by: Yanalia [RG]
Sponsors: Maklohi Vai [LD], Oneracon [RG], The Nihilistic View [LD]

1. The Deputy Prime Minister shall be appointed by the Prime Minister and may perform the duties of the Prime Minister in case of resignation or a physical inability to complete duties on the part of the Prime Minister.

2. Clause 1-A of the REA is hereby struck out and rendered null and void. It shall be replaced with the following clause. "The President shall be the Head of State, elected by the Senate in a two-round system, in which the top two candidates from the first round shall be voted on, unless one candidate attains a majority of 50%+1 of the total votes in the first round, upon which that candidate assumes the Presidency without a second round of voting."

What you need to do is add a clause in which allows the Prime Minister and their ministers to be in office for the same time as the President. To avoid all the unnecessary shit that's going on currently.
