I'm backing the German version. Why? Because German is cooler.

On an unrelated note, has anyone else noticed that we're accumulating legislation at a much faster rate than we're voting on it? We currently have a queue of 15 bills, and with a 2 day voting period, it would take a month to vote on everything currently in queue. Does anyone have suggestions for solutions?

A few ideas:
1. Create a second chamber solely for voting. All debate and one round of voting occurs in the current chamber.
2. Vote on two bills at once in the current chamber.
3. Decrease the voting span from 2 days.

1 would make no IC sense what so ever and 3 would enable a party to pass legislation when their members are online.

We could do this:
Code: Select all
Do you support...
The yadda yadda act? [ ] Yes | [ ] No
The blah blah blah act? [ ] Yes | [ ] No
The so-and-so act? [ ] Yes | [ ] No

So we save time.

No. You would be able to vote against it. For example, voting would go like this:-
1. Business and Accountability Act: Yes
2. National Retirement and Pensions Act: No
3. National Security Act: Yes
4. Senate Limitation Act: Yes
5. Limiting Legislation Act: Yes
6. The Civil Treatment Act: No
7. Electricity Production Act: Yes
8. Transportation Ministry Provision Act: Yes
9. Agricultural Rights Act: Yes
10. Modified Healthcare Act: No
11. National Census Bureau Act: Yes
12. Sexual Industry Regulation Act: Yes
13. National Judiciary Act: Yes
14. National Extraterrestrial Act: Yes
15. National Firearms Act: Yes

I think we will need to put in an emergency bill through senate, overriding normal queue through privileged motion. Just to make it IC.

Guys, if we pass the gun bill as it is, we are facing a potential war over disarmament of the paramilitaries and the mass violations of the rights of citizens being forced to have their homes forcibly searched to confiscate guns. That is something I do not wish to see, particularly the latter.

So the Senate gives in to the threats of the paramilitaries and avoid democratical process on the voting of the bill?
