Oh yes! I still remember screaming like a baby when I first saw the silent Phantom of the Opera!
He was great at silent movies. He learned how to express himself solely through body language because both his parents were deaf. For ages he refused to do talkies because he wanted his parents to be able to enjoy his films. He finally gave in and took a role in the remake of The Unholy Three, where it turned out he could do a bunch of different voices too. The man of a thousand faces could have been known as the man of a thousand voices as well. But that was his last role before he died.

What's with you women and vampires anyway? I bet It's the blood, you both have a connection to it. A natural rythm to which you both beat on occasion ...recurring if you will.

Personally I'm not that into vampires. I like books like Fevre Dream and Dracula because they're good books.
But the vampire thing... it's because they're sexy. Always have been. Dracula was written as a metaphor for Victorian peoples' fear of sex. As sex stopped being taboo, vampires stopped being scary. Simple as that.

Indeed... Truly an immortal, irreplacable actor. His son was no slouch either, though, and was really good at playing sympathetic movie monsters just like dad. In his case, though, I think it was because of his friendly face and humble voice.

And they started being misunderstood casanovas. I can live with that, actually, I like vampires too lately ...though not in a sexy way, maybe.
I started to write a vampire story myself but quit it once I realized how much it ripped off Carmilla.Gallade wrote:Love, cake, wine and banter. No greater meaning to life (〜^∇^)〜
