I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

I vote FOR.
I go under the name Vyvland now (IIWiki page). This account is used for the odd foray into the Senate or NSG.

Approval would actually be 60%. Ten nations have voted, 6 are in favour, 6/10 = 60%.

Anyway, I vote yes.

Meaning no disrepect to the honourable Senators, nor to the Senate itself, I hereby declare that

I resign as NSG Senator.

I cannot give the role the time and attention it deserves, and I have no interest in establishing the majority opinion of NSG (even granted that the Senate reflects that). To me, NSG is a debate forum and does not need an elected body to rule on real world issues such as those which have been brought before the Senate. This isn't what I signed up for so, respectfully: I resign.
My name is voiced AIL-EE-AIL-EE-AH. My time zone: UTC.

I vote nein.

Essentially, I believe this legislation would reduce the democratic character of this organization, resulting in an oligarchic system of pseudo-governance. My passionate conviction is that the NSG Senate ought to be accessible to the general citizenry, to the seething masses. Such an organ would by its very nature discriminate against certain social groups and political ideologies. In particular, individuals with multiple interests and concerns from an out-of-game perspective would lose the ability to participate in the political process. These people could bring novel experiences and unique philosophical paradigms to the table, and I do not think it just to deny them the opportunity to do so. Perhaps, if the venerable Senators deem it appropriate and vital, we could instead propose legislation pertaining to quorum and other such formalities. This would enable the Senate to function at substandard capacity while also making allowances for those with less time who would like to occasionally enter into the business of internet law-making.

I encourage all people who value pluralism and democracy to reject this bill, and to reject it with fiery ardor.
