"If everyone has [a gun], no one will use one"
Guns aren't made to sit around and look pretty. they're made to be used. And some people will fire in anger.

Then those who are also armed with guns will fire back.
The idea is that everyone, if armed with a firearm, will be able to defend against everyone else with a firearm.

Judo works well. Plus psychopaths tend not to have very good awareness, easy to flank.Transoxthraxia wrote:Alright, theoretically - let's say there is a psychopath having a bad day in inner New York. Now imagine that same scenario. Except, when the psychopath pulls out his gun, thirty of the one hundred and eighty people that are within range of the psycho also pull out guns, and start shooting back. Sure, there will still be casualties. Sure, it will still be a tragedy. But the casualties would be limited. The Tragedy, not as bad as it could have been.

There's no way we're going to be able to get 75% of all Senators to vote, especially as the number of Senators grows.
Also, if we've already gotten 75% of them to vote one way or another, why would we need an extra 24 hours?

This is what we have police for.
And good riddance to the fat cats on Wall Street anyways.

I tend to vary, though. Sometimes I'm centre-left (in a small buisness aspect) but far left (in a corporate aspect). I'm utopian more than anything.Zweite Alaje wrote:It isn't about "liking" eachother or eachothers specific views. Hell, me and Fris argue all the time on General, but I joined his party anyway. I am for less gun control and I still think this idea is a little "out there"

Official Party Name: The National People's Party
Brief Summary of Platform: The National People's Party, otherwise known as the NPP, or NP, is a party that stands in a blend of traditional, more conservative economic values, such as State Capitalism, but more modern social values, such as secularism and situational pro-choice. The NPP is a unique blend of the Reactionary Cause and the Libertarian one. The NPP's stance on Social Values is as following: Social rights, such as rights granted to the LGBT population, will be strongly supported by the NPP. On the issue of Abortion, the NPP has a unique stance. Circumstantial abortion will be allowed. To elaborate, the NPP will allow abortion in certain circumstances, such as rape, incest, statutory, etcetera. On the issue of guns, the NPP will be strongly Pro-gun, and support the concealed carry of certain firearms, most notably pistols. If everyone has one, no one will use one. On the topic of fiscality and economic issues, the NPP leans strongly to the right, strongly favoring State Capitalism. On the issue of social spending, social spending, especially funding public schools and subsidizing industry. Welfare, in some forms, is not tolerated. Unless you are unemployed and over the age of sixty, an irrevocably damaged war veteran, or have been proclaimed to be legally disabled, Welfare, other than Universal Healthcare, will not be given out. Universal Healthcare is a concept that the NPP strongly supports.
