For the last time, I AM NOT RIGHT WING. Just because I am a monarchist does not mean I am on the right wing. Both my social and economic policy sits very comfortably on the left and I utterly reject these constant jibes about how monarchism is a preserve of the right. You are honestly misinterpreting the situation.

EDIT: Quite frankly, the personal attacks are getting to me quite a lot when I'm only trying to do something to stop this place continuing to be devoid of all sensibility.

You are honestly misinterpreting the situation.

EDIT: Quite frankly, the personal attacks are getting to me quite a lot when I'm only trying to do something to stop this place continuing to be devoid of all sensibility.

I'm not saying that you being right wing is a bad thing, am I? No, I'm not. Look, I know you say your social and economic policy sit on the left, and I suppose they do. You are left wing in that sense. But while going through the monarchist debate, you sided with the right wingers even when it wasn't on a question of monarchy. That is not necessarily a sign of being on the right, I just see it as a sign that it may be hard to work in a bipartisan fashion with you. I hope you can prove me wrong on that one. I honestly think you have one of the greatest drives in this Senate, and you are committed to what you believe in. I want to work with you, don't get me wrong.
On the matter of "misinterpretation," I merely base my opinions off what I see. I saw one thing, which may not be a representation of your policies as a whole. I would love to see your other beliefs in active debate so that I can get a fuller picture of you.

Now, I'm offended by you edit. I am not attacking you personally, and if you draw that conclusion, you are assuming that my calling you "not left wing" is offensive. That's only offensive if you consider right wingers to be offensive, which I don't believe you do. Second, I really think you need to be careful with your wording. By saying that you're trying to prevent this place from being "devoid of all sensibility," you're saying that everyone who is not on your side is an unsensible person who, by implication, should listen to you because you're correct. Sorry, but that's not how it works. Democracy will decide what this Senate wants, and I believe in the power of this Senate so much that I believe that conclusion that it draws to be sensible. Also, calling people unsensible is generally a rude thing to do by most codes of social behavior.

I have sided with members of the right PURELY on account of the monarchism debate OR seeking to try to form a coalition to actually fix this Senate. The reason we are devoid of sensibility is because of the fact that we have no order whatsoever, everyone's doing whatever they want whenever they like, we don't have a government... it's just a massive, tangled mess that won't get sorted at this rate at all. We can't have any kind of peace or order when we have to put up with parties who are so... dead set on their own interests that they do not wish for unity in such a time of fracture.

The people who have been opposing me over coalitions keep citing that we shouldn't compromise or work together, but stay on their party line. That's only furthering our division and in a government where a single party holding a majority is impossible, we need to form that majority through a coalition, which is better done sooner rather than later.

When I said I feel like I'm under personal attack, it's because of the tone with which people type against me. It's not a case of polite objections, but instead it is scathing remarks from all sides that erodes my confidence. By trying to be a moderate, I seem to have literally no support from anyone in this entire project. It hurts, truly, it does. I feel very bad when I'm accused of being on the right when I have tried to appear to be on the centre-left, because that makes it look like I'm failing in what I'm trying to do and not representing what I try to be.

I'm just trying to do the right thing for everyone, not any single party. Please stop lynching me with words over it.

I'd guess you've been accepted, seeing as how your nation's name is on the list of Senators.

Well, should your party be approved (going off the OP), then I would certainly be interested in joining.

Hoped to form a new party of the proletariat with which to fight the third-wheeling reformist deviationism of the Red-Greens and the petty-bourgeois social-fascist opportunistic possibilitism of the Communist Party, for the glorious memory of Comrade Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin!

If that fails to pan out, the Commies.

Good luck. It'll be hard to compete, there are already several leftist parties.

Puh-leeze.

According to Marxist-Leninist snarl words, our party is filled with infantile ultra-left adventurists and deviationist anarcho-individualist subversives.

Please insult our party properly in the future, comrade.

Post an application like everybody else. Then either join a party or remain an independent. Then run along to the Chamber to debate and vote on bills.

That's it, basically.

No I haven't I think I might just stay independent before I choose a party, when choosing a party does it have to be on the same political views as your nation or RL political views?

Hah! You barely qualify as left, let alone ultra-left adventurism (who are also sent to gulag, but for different reason from reformist dogs!). The so-called Communist Party are nothing but reformists hiding their social-democratic leanings in terms such as 'revolution by the majority' and 'limiting violence'.
