People grieve at their own pace. I cried nonstop from the minute I got the phone call until about two weeks later, and then found myself pretty constantly depressed for another three years. It's still hard to look at pictures.

I'm so fucking grateful that she was cremated. I wouldn't have made it through seeing her dead.
