I only understood the last 3 words in either of them. That's with me being a native English speaker, beginning German speaker, and an assortment of Dutch and Danish vocab I know.

Indeed it is. I'm working on something myself, but I'm still working on the concept.

Part of it I intend to take place in a city like Venice, only built near the edge of a waterfall and powered by some sort of steampunk-ish hydroelectric contraption.

That sounds like a pretty interesting setting, I have to say.

I have something else planned for a city powered by lightning, but I'm contemplating to actually put that in an old medieval fortress in the middle of desert that has been outfitted with tesla-coil like devices to 'farm' energy from lightning. Maybe I'll have that city capable of lifting off in the sky using some anti gravitational thingy.

Maybe not. It's still a little chaotic.
