Yep, I actually lived near a ranch in the 90's that ran buffalo on it for the tax breaks because it was an endangered species so I knew a bit on that subject :p

Ah, good to know.

Eating dog? I don't get what exactly what's so bad about that. :<

Because the entire time I kept thinking about how it could be any one of my dogs at home, and they've often been my closest companions.

Buffalo's indeed quite tasty. Especially when seasoned very good.

Never had dog or cat or elephant. Had iguana down in the Caribbean.

Ooh, iguana seems interesting.

I'm sure i've said it before but horse is the best meat i've had. I loved getting fresh horse from the boucheries chevalines in the neighbourhood I lived in when in France, then taking it home and cooking it.

Well that kind of law applies to everything from fish (a couple million iirc) to rabbits (in the thousands?) to humans (0).

I can't say I've really eaten any weird animals. The only animals I've eaten that have ever been called weird were Goat and Shark, but those are not that uncommon. I may have eaten weird parts of animals, such as Tongue and Chicken Feet, but I don't think those count.

Well, shark can seem out there to some. I had shark kebabs one time.

The strangest meat I've ever had was iguana. Horse is quite normal to me as I've eaten it since I was a little girl in Spain.

Around here, they also eat rattle snake and squirrel.

It's not really a tongue, just some flesh where a tongue would be. It's a delicacy around here
